Chapter 10

Ecstasy rolled over Vincent as he caught his breath. Having Mason make love to him like that had been mind blowing and fantastic.

They had only just met and barely knew anything about each other, yet he felt closer to Mason now than he felt with anyone else he had ever known. The sexual and physical attraction between them was intoxicating to say the least. It was strong when they first encountered each other and only became more intense with further exposure.

Somehow, Vincent couldn’t explain it or understand why, but when he had fed on Mason’s blood, something between them merged. It sounded far-fetched and beyond belief, but he thought their souls had coalesced and bonded through the blood feeding.

But how could that be? Maybe it was all in his mind that it happened. If that were the case, then why did Mason experience a sexual yearning just like Vincent through the process?

It felt like they had to consummate their desires to mate or they’d die.

What type of spell had befallen them? And now that they had made love did it still reign over them?

He turned to look at Mason. The handsome wolf shifter smiled with his love-struck eyes. The effect they had on Vincent’s fluttering heart told him that the spell hadn’t died. It was only getting stronger.

“Wow! That was amazing.” Mason sighed longingly while gently tugging the strand of Vincent’s hair that had fallen loose over his ear.

He gently cupped Vincent’s chin and stared deep into his eyes. Mason was breathtaking, the most beautiful man he’d ever seen. The dark blueness of his eyes with flecks of green and brown dancing close to the irises had Vincent mesmerized. His cute nose, his pointy chin, and chiseled cheekbones fascinated Vincent.

When Mason leaned in to kiss him on the lips, Vincent lost his breath. The kiss was sweet and lasted less than a minute. As Mason drew away, Vincent longed for more.

Mason gazed down at their bodies and said, smiling, “I think we should wash up, don’t you think?”

Vincent chuckled looking at his pants, which were still resting around his knees. “Yeah, that sounds like a good idea,” he replied, pulling them up.

Mason’s eyes peered around, and then he motioned seductively with his index finger while he guided Vincent by the hand. “Come with me. There’s a bathtub in the basement washroom. We will clean ourselves there.

“I would love to use the bigger one upstairs, but we will make too much of a racket.”

“All right.” Vincent followed with a drumming heartbeat and eager eyes, anxious to see Mason completely naked.

The bathroom indeed was constricting, with only enough room for one to walk freely in it. For two it was a tight squeeze, but Vincent didn’t mind. The closer he was to Mason, the better.

“Where do you get your water?” Vincent asked.

“We have a shallow well, and we also collect rainwater. We have a special pooling system that collects all the water during each waterfall and stores it in these tanks. Solar energy heats them.
